Effectiveness

Since the year 2000, Michael Batt Foundation (MBF) has enabled:

  • 48 individuals to move from residential care into supported living
  • over 70 people to achieve greater independence with a reduction in their level of support

We work with a person to increase their independence but at a pace that suits the person.

We laugh, cry and celebrate success with the person - their life is very important to us and we will do everything we can to help them to enjoy as happy and healthy a life as is possible within their own community. In addition, we will help the person to recognise that they will have a part to play in their community, for example:

  • keeping themselves (and others) safe
  • their responsibilities as a good neighbour/member of the community
